Daniele Manzin

Coach Daniele was born and raised in the beautiful Northwest city of Seattle, Washington. He has played soccer since he could walk and is a die hard fan of the Italian National team, who he will be cheering on for the summer's World Cup. A recent graduate of Occidental College, Daniele is pursuing a career in theater and enjoys working with children. "Forza Italia!"

Something you would'nt know about Coach Daniele: He had to have braces twice! The first time the orthodontist said he didn't need a retainer. Wrong!

Jason Mosberg

League Head Coach (8 - 10 Year Olds)

Jason is from Delaware. He is 25 years old and has been coaching soccer at SoccerKidsUSA for more than two years. He has been playing soccer for 21 years and plays in leagues in Santa Monica and Arcadia.

Favorite color: orange

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Jason: He named his car after Zack Morris.

Keith Lincoln

Equipment Manager and League Head Coach (5-7 Year Olds)

Coach Keith has played soccer for over 22 years, playing at all levels from club to college. He recently got degrees in psychology and fire science and emergency technology.  He just passed his national registry for EMT and is currently looking for a job as a firefighter. A resident of Santa Monica, Coach Keith enjoys surfing at the local beaches and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at The Gracie Academy. He has been a coach with SoccerKidsUSA for nearly 6 years. One of the best things about teaching is passing on some of the knowledge that he's learned and seeing the kids enjoy the sport.

Michelle Shegda

Marketing Support and League Head Coach (Girls)

Coach Michelle has been with SoccerKidsUSA since February 2007.  An East Coast native, she has been residing and working in Venice, CA, as the Education Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Venice. She spends her free time playing competitive soccer in a women’s amateur league, hiking in Temescal Canyon, skateboarding along the beach and biking around town. She's also been known to do yoga and belly dance! Originally from Pennsylvania, Michelle attended LaSalle University as a scholarship player on the Women’s Soccer Team. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Michelle began coaching at her high school Alma Mater.  She earned a “C” coaching license, a Certification in Personal Training, and a Master’s in Sport & Recreation Administration from Temple University.

SoccerKidsUSA is the kids' imaginative minds. It's amazing to see the growth of coordination and talent over the course of only 10 weeks!

Christin Mizelle

Super Saturday & Super Sunday Field Manager

Growing up as 1 of 8 kids on a 300 acre farm in Virginia has bred Christin not only to love the outdoors, but pretty much all sports. She moved to California almost 4 years ago to pursue her Masters Degree and is currently working on her second feature length documentary as a Production Coordinator. She is really excited to join the SoccerKidsUSA team, as it reminds her of the fun she had when she was younger.

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Christin: She has a collection of over 100 Barbies!

Michelle Strapp

Super Saturday & Super Sunday Field Coordinator and Information Gatherer

Coach Shell grew up in Southern California and started playing soccer at the age of 3. She loves being able to teach the kids at SoccerKidsUSA and see how much they learn each session. She enjoys seeing different places and learning new things. Growing up she played many sports, but soccer seems to be the one that stuck.

Barbara Macz

Web Support

Barbara Macz was born and raised in Los Angeles. Being the third of four siblings kept her childhood fairly busy, with sports being a shared interest. Never one to be left out, a young Barbara was always spotted dashing quickly after a soccer ball (through a field of adults in a game). She is an unquestionable geek in nature and practitioner of the fine arts in her spare time (though most definitely not conceptual art nor dance) but can play almost any instrument thrown at her; just give her a few minutes to work it out! She spends a large percentage of her day looking serious from squinting in thought… or sunlight, and humming/drumming/whistling to show tunes unconsciously.

Dianne Ward

Super Saturday & Super Sunday Assistant Field Manager

Coach Dianne was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia and moved to Los Angeles 13 years ago to pursue her higher education. After completing her MFA in Film and TV Producing from Chapman University, Dianne works in the Television Division at Content Media Corporation, a London based international sales, acquisition and distribution company.  Coach Dianne enjoys watching and playing a variety of different sports and, is very excited to be part of the SoccerKidsUSA team!

 

Favorite color: Blue - Well, any shade of blue, really.

Justin Galindo

Justin is from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a student filmmaker and Psych Major. He enjoys most outdoor activities.

Justin Ballatorre

Assistant Equipment Manager

Justin has been playing soccer since middle school and continued to play on his high school team at South Pasadena.  He is now at Santa Monica College studying Music Appreciation.

Laurel Green

Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant

A native of Southern California, Laurel recently moved to Nashville with her husband, Matt and 7 year old son, Foley. They have two dogs, Arrow & Lucy Loo and 2 guppies, Pee Wee & Wee Wee. When she’s not bookkeeping, you can find her watching baseball with her son, digging and planting in the garden, experimenting with southern cooking and hiking with deer & wild turkeys through the beautiful nature trails of Tennessee.

Something you wouldn't know about Laurel: At age 16, she was the candy girl at Little John's English Toffee House at The Farmers Market.

Will O'Bryan

Coach Will hails from Fayetteville Arkansas, home of the Razorbacks. He has played soccer competitively for 20 years. As a player for the Arkansas Comets, Will won two state championships. Also, he played for an under 16 U.S. team internationally in Gothenberg, Sweden in the Gothia Cup and Copenhagen, Denmark in the Dana Cup.  Will has been a coach with SoccerKidsUSA for one year and hopes to continue for years to come.

Juan Ponciano

Coach Juan was born in Burke, VA. He's played soccer since he was 5 and continues to play 3 times a week today. Coach Juan has been playing music since he was 6 and has continued this love of music by working in the music industry today. His favorite movie is the Mighty Ducks.

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Juan:  His parents are from Guatemala.

Janie Inman

Janie is 25 years old and grew up in middle-of-nowhere Harrison, Ohio, where she raised horses, goats, rabbits, etc., just for fun. She has always been an animal lover, and thinks she probably missed her calling as a veterinarian. She swam and played soccer in high school, and graduated in 2006. Janie then attended Bowling Green State University for a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication Technology, and is an an aspiring photographer / graphic designer / web designer. During school, she worked at a daycare in the infant/toddler room, so she has come to love working with kids and watching them grow. Janie is very excited about this coming soccer season, and can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Samantha Dubin

Coach Sam is from Tampa, Florida. She is an avid soccer player and fan of the game. Coach Sam played Right Wing and Center Midfield in High School, where she was Co-Captain and All-County. She went on to play with Boston University’s Women’s Soccer Team. She enjoys club soccer and has played with co-ed Club Teams and was a member of Tampa Bay Indoor Women’s Soccer Club. Sam coached Youth Soccer for Boston’s Hill House Community Center. She is a Financial Advisor and Stock Broker and enjoys painting, running and hiking the hills. Coach Sam is excited to be part of SoccerKids USA and is always ready to have some fun!

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Sam:  She loves popcorn flavored jelly beans and has a dog named “Hudson”.

Lindsay Doung

Coach Lindsay is originally from the Bay Area, but has lived in Southern California for almost 10 years. Her background is in education and has worked for a variety of non-profit organizations and currently is an undergraduate counselor. Lindsay grew up playing soccer and continued on playing recreationally until College. She’s previously coached soccer for a few years, and loves working with kids and staying active.

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Lindsay: She loves to cook! Some of her self-acclaimed favorites are homemade granola, pot stickers and lasagna.

Madison Nethery

Coach Madison was born and raised in Northern California. She played soccer from age 4-18, having played for her high school team freshman and sophomore year. Currently, Madison is a freshman at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Michelle Duarte

Coach Michelle started playing soccer when she was about 5 years of age, starting in AYSO and then playing club soccer with Westside Breakers. As competition grew more fierce she increased her training and moved into the Gold league with PVSC and finally to the Premier level with Infinity in Long Beach. Michelle played division II soccer at Cal Poly Pomona. She loves soccer because “if you love the game it will love you back”. She is also a personal trainer, so you can count on a fun structured practice! :) Coach Michelle's specialty lies in skill work as well as quick passing and the basic concepts of soccer.

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Michelle: She has a large Mexican family and summer is her favorite season because they can spend lots of time outdoors, running on the beach and taking hikes!

Bianca Rodas

Coach Bianca was born in Santa Monica, California in October of 1987. Growing up in Culver City and West Los Angeles she took advantage of extracurricular activities including swim, gymnastics, and soccer. Swim and soccer especially played a vital part in developing her character and growing into new stages in life. In 2005 Coach Bianca decided to pursue her Bachelors Degree at The University Of California Riverside. Four years later, she graduated with her Bachelors Degree of Arts in English. Currently, her most near future pursuit is to attain her Juris Doctorate by attending law school. Although on the weekends there is no other place she would rather be than with the kids at SoccerKidsUSA having a blast!

Something you wouldn't know about Coach Bianca: Even though she loves to play soccer, she also loves to swim. She was a lifeguard at 15.

Madaline Jones

Born in raised in Cleveland, OH, Coach Madaline has always been involved in team sports. From soccer, basketball, track, to field hockey and tennis, she loves sports! If she could have played football, she would have done that too. Madaline has 3 brothers and one sister and always grew up with pets. She's an animal lover through and through. She currently has 2 cats, a snake, and 2 gecko’s and they are awesome friends to have. Boxers and Golden Retrievers are among her favorite pets but unfortunately she does not have a big enough yard for a dog just yet. Her favorite hobbies are running, bowling and writing. She loves writing poetry and short stories. Coach Madaline is a lot of fun both on the field and off. She's a team player and in her mind, there’s no better place to play than out in the sun with friends.

Sarah Weiss

Coach Sarah thinks that playing is the most important thing in the world. On the field, she enjoys running, kicking the ball to her friends and water breaks. Off the field, she tries to find the best ice cream stores in LA and enjoys reading. With SoccerKidsUSA, she hopes to improve both her soccer and teaching skills.

Something you would'nt know about Coach Sarah: She can touch her tongue to her nose and her fist word was "pickle".

Cassandra Bonney

Coach Cassandra is a full time sudent at California State University Los Angeles -- graduating in June 2013. She played soccer since she was 4 years old through her freshman year in college. She has two older brothers who also played/ play soccer. Cassandra is originally from New Mexico. She then moved to Arizona for high school, and is now currently residing in Los Angeles and has been here for almost 5 years. Eventually, she plans on moving back to Arizona when she gets tired of the city life. Coach Cassandra interns at the Children’s Hospital and absolutely loves it.

Kelby Joseph

Coach Kelby was born in Brooklyn, New York. He lived in Canada and Florida, then moved to LA to search for a life in the entertainment industry, and entertaining children is more than he could ask for.

Something you would'nt know about Coach Kelby: He speaks three languages! English, French and Haitian Creole.
